The American Library Association’s Annual Conference & Exhibition continues to deliver content that provides value to attendees from across the country and the industry. Whether learning in meeting rooms or on the exhibit floor, attendees come to the Annual Conference & Exhibition because they know it delivers the biggest return on their investment. With a wide range of activities, the exhibit floor has become a great place for attendees to search for new products, explore upcoming titles, hear interesting speakers, meet emerging authors, and examine peer poster presentations.

Note: All applications will be reviewed to ensure organizations are suitable for inclusion in The Library Marketplace exhibits. The ALA reserves the right to refuse rental of display space to any company whose display of goods or services is not, in the opinion of the ALA, likely to be compatible with the general character and objectives of the exposition.

Authors, new publications, and technologies often are introduced to the library market by smaller start-up companies. To give these companies access to the vital market they seek, ALA has designated a special display option for these companies. If your organization develops new products and services, this is a low-cost opportunity to introduce yourself to the library market.

These exhibitors are supplied with many standard benefits as in other areas of the exhibition but are limited in the method in which they may utilize their display space.

Beware of book/author marketing opportunities

If you are approached by any organization promising marketing/advertising opportunities for your book, please perform proper due diligence in researching these organizations. There have been many in the past who are or claim to be ALA exhibitors and /or make false statements regarding ALA’s interest in your book or commitments to buy your book. These are not true. First, ALA does not buy books for libraries or endorse any books for purchase. Second, all applications from all organizations who apply for exhibit space are reviewed for an appropriate fit in the ALA exhibition. If you have any questions regarding this type of offers you can reach out to the exhibits office at [email protected]
